Indians send down Trevor Bauer, three others

The Indians announced four roster moves, including sending down top prospect Trevor Bauer, who was trying to stick in the five-man rotation.

Here is the release:

 

The Cleveland Indians today announced the following roster moves relative to the Major League spring training roster:

Optioned LHP SCOTT BARNES, RHP TREVOR BAUER andRHP COREY KLUBER to Triple-A Columbus.

Re-assigned non-roster invitee LHP GIOVANNI SOTO to Minor League camp.

With today’s five-player reduction the current Major League spring training roster now stands at 40 players (19 pitchers/5 catchers/10 infielders/6 outfielders).
