Indians wrap up Day Two of 2014 MLB Draft with 8 more selections

Day Two of the 2014 MLB First-Year Player Draft brought eight more players into the Indians fold. They are:

Third round (97th overall): First baseman Bobby Bradleyfrom Harrison Central High Sschool in Gulfport, Mississippi.

Fourth round (128th overall): Left-handed pitcher Sam Hentges from Mounds View High School in St Paul, Minnesota.

Fifth round (158th overall): Right-handed pitcher Julian Merriweather, a senior from Oklahoma Baptist University.

Sixth round (188th overall) Outfielder Gregory Allen, a juniorfrom San Diego St. University.

Seventh round (218th overall): Catcher Simeon Lucas from Grant Community High School in Illinois.

Eighth round (248th overall): Right-handed pitcher Micah Miniard from Boyle County High School in Danville, Kentucky.

Ninth round (278th overall): Shortstop Alexis Pantojas from the Puerto Rican Baseball Academy.

Tenth round(308 overall): Second baseman Steven Patterson, asenior from Cal Davis.

The Indians selection breakdown so far for their first 12 picks in Rounds 1-10: Five pitchers (three right-handers, two left-handers); three infielders; three outfielders, one catcher, five college players and seven high school players.

The draft conitnues Saturday beginning at 1 p.m. (EST) with Round 11.
