ANAHEIM, Calif.: The Indians' top prospect, shortstop Francisco Lindor, might have played his final game of 2013.
Lindor has been fighting back soreness for the past few weeks and is scheduled to see a doctor for a second opinion.
After getting time off to rest his back, the Tribe's medical staff thought Lindor's problems were behind him, but he began having symptoms again last week.
Asked if Lindor will be swhut down for the final two weekws of the Aestern League season, General Manager Chris Antonetti said, ""We want to do what's in the best long-term interest of the player.''
Antonetti said ""surgery was not indicated'' and didn't think the injury would be more than a short-term issue.
