Triple-A Columbus (11-8) - The host Clippers lost their second consecutive game to Toledo, this one a 10-1 defeat...Columbus' lone run came in the bottom of the fourth inning on 3B Brian Bixler's ground out. Bixler went 2-for-4 on the evening...DH Shelley Duncan also went 2-for-4 with with a pair of doubles...LF Michael Brantley went 3-for-4 with a double...RHP Jeanmar Gomez allowed five runs (four earned) on six hits and five walks in just 4 1/3 innings of work.
Double-A Aeros (8-10) - The Aeros and host Altoona were postponed due to rain and have decided not to reschedule the game until Aug. 4 as part of a double header that begins at 5:30 p.m...In the meantime, the Aeros and Curve will attempt to kick off the now shortened two-game series at Blair County Ballpark Tuesday at 6:30 p.m...LHP Eric Berger is expected to make his season debut against Altoona's Tim Alderson (1-0, 5.52 ERA). Berger began the season at extended spring training. He swaps roster spots with RHP Connor Graham, who was placed on the disabled list with a finger injury.
High Class-A Kinston (7-10) - Kinston had the day off. The K-Tribe resumes play Tuesday with a three-game set against visiting Lynchburg...2B Jason Kipnis is tied for eighth in the Carolina League with a .333 batting average.
Low Class-A Lake County (13-3) - Lake County had the day off. The Captains resume play Tuesday with a three-game set at Dayton...LF Bo Geenwell ranks fourth in the Midwest League with a .385 batting average...2B Casey Frawley is fifth with a .375 average.
