Monday's minor league wrap up

A look at how the Indians Minor League affiliates fared Monday:

Triple-A Columbus (64-40) - Host Columbus outslugged Pawtucket 11-7...RHP Justin Germano (3-2, 3.38 ERA) earned the win despite giving up four runs on seven hits in 5 2/3 innings...SS Luis Valbuena went 2-for-3 with two home runs, four runs scored and five RBI to lead the Clippers offense.

Double-A Akron (53-48) - Host Akron wound up on the wrong end of a 10-5 slugfest with Bowie...Every starter for each team earned at least one hit as they combined for 15 runs on 28 hits and five errors....RHP Paolo Espino took the loss after allowing five runs on 10 hits in just 4 1/3 innings...In his first career relief appearance following 47 career starts, LHP Nick Hagadone allowed a run on one hit and two walks in a two-inning stint...3B Lonnie Chisenhall hit a two-run home run.

High Class-A Kinston (12-17 in second half) - Visiting Kinston lost 7-2 to Winston-Salem...RHP Austin Adams limited the host to two runs on seven hits over five innings, but was tagged with a no-decision when RHP Marty Popham (1-4, 4.62 ERA) gave up five runs on six hits over the final three innings for the loss...3B Jeremie Tice led the way on offense with two RBI.

Low Class-A Lake County (14-16 in second half) - Host Lake County lost 6-5 to Peoria...RHP Curtis Haley took the loss after giving up six runs (four earned) on nine hits in just 3 1/3 innings...LF Greg Folgia drove in a team-high three RBI with a home run.

Short-season Mahoning Valley (14-24) - Host Mahoning Valley lost 6-4 to State College...LHP Mike Rayl (0-4, 3.11 ERA) took the loss despite giving up just two runs on six hits in five innings...RF Carlos Moncrief went 1-for-4 with a runs scored and RBI.
