Pregame blog: Indians vs. Angels: Lineup, notes, player signings

The Indians signed 10 players with zero to three years of experience to one-year Major League contracts for 2014, locking up all on the 40-man roster. Right-handed pitcher Zach McAllister's contract was also renewed.

Others signed were second baseman Jason Kipnis, catcher Yan Gomes, infielder Erik Gonzalez, outfielder Carlos Moncrief, right-handers Cody Allen, Carlos Carrasco, Preston Guilmet and Bryan Price and left-handers Scott Barnes and Nick Hagadone.

Indians manager Terry Francona said he considered inserting RF Ryan Raburn (bruised left knee) at DH today, but decided against it. Francona said Raburn will DH in a 'B' game Tuesday, then he will try to get him some at-bats before he flys home March 17 for the birth of his second daughter the next day.
