Notes: Carrasco gets his first start of the season today. Talking to reporters before the game today, manager Terry Francona said that the staff wants Carrasco to take this opportunity and run with it. He also said that Carrasco has the stuff to work deep into games.

Francona also talked a bit more on MLB's new replay system. He said the team has been in contact with the league a couple times as teams continue to try to work together to get the kinks out—as Francona said, not many are good with "new" things.   He sounds pretty upbeat in that the league is trying to work with teams as much as possible to help with understanding of the new rules.
