The Indians sent right-handed reliever C.C. Lee down to Columbus and called up left-handed pitcher T.J.  House. Lee went 0-0 with a 4.76 ERA in 13 relief appearances for the Tribe, allowing seven runs (six earned) on 11 hits in 11 1/3 innings.

House, 24 was a starter at Triple-A Columbus, where he went 1-2 with a 2.40 ERA while striking out 34 batters and issuing 11 walks. However, the Indians would use him out of the bullpen if the need for a long reliever were to arise like it did in Friday’s 11-1 loss to the A’s. Tribe starter Zach McAllister lasted just 1 1/3 innings, taxing the bullpen for the final 7 2/3 innings.

House’s major league promotion is actually his second, as he spent three days on the active roster last year (June 24-26) but did not pitch.
