CLEVELAND: Grady Sizemore ran the bases without pain or discomfort today, which probably means he's ready to come off the disabled list.
However, manager Manny Acta refused to announce the date of Sizemore's return.
""I expect him to join us this weekend,'' Acta said. ""I'm not going to give you the date. But the weekend stretches all the way from Friday to Sunday.''
Despite Acta's reluctance to name a day for Sizemore's return, more than likely he will back in center field for Friday night's game at Tampa Bay.
Unless Sizemore suffers a setback and his knee begins to hurt after today's final drill, there's nothing else for him to accomplish in his rehab program. Another indication that he will play Friday was Ezequiel Carrera shaking hands with some of his teammates today, as he went out the door and apparently back to Columbus.
Sizemore seemed happy with the day's activities, saying, ""I ran the bases with no problems. I feel good.'' He added, ""I'm good to go.'' [ep
