Sizemore undergoes surgery; should be OK for 2012

By Sheldon Published: October 4, 2011

Dr. Richard Steadman performed arthroscopic surgery on Grady Sizemore's right knee Monday in Vail, Colo.

Recovery time for the relatively minor procedure is expected to be six to eight weeks and should not prevent the 29-year-old center fielder from starting spring training on time and be fully healthy.

Sizemore was sidelined with a bone bruise in the knee for most of the season after mid-May. Monday's operation was totally different than the microfracture surgery he undwent on his left knee midway  through the 2010 season.
