Sleep doesn't come easily to Francona

By Sheldon Ocker Published: July 4, 2013

KANSAS CITY, Mo.:  With Wednesday night’s game ending about 1:15 a.m., there was a quick turnaround for today’s 1 p.m. series finale.

That means that manager Terry Francona needed to fall asleep quickly once he got back to his hotel room.
   But that’s not what happened.
“”I get too revved up during the season,’’ Francona said. “”When you know you need to sleep, you can’t. I was watching some political show and the remote was about four feet away. Too far. So I learned something about that guy (Edward) Snowden.’’
