Sunday's look around the minor leagues

A look at how the Indians Minor League affiliates fared Sunday:

Triple-A Columbus (8-3) - The Clippers swept a double header at Louisville, topping the host Bats by scores of 6-4 and 3-0. C Carlos Santana, who caught Game One and DH'd Game Two, went a combined 3-for7 with two doubles and five RBI to raise his batting average to .424. Lefty Scott Lewis (2-0, 3.00 ERA) won the first game and Frank Hermann (1-0, 1.50 ERA) won the second.

Double-A Aeros (6-5) - The Aeros put a halt to a four-game losing streak with a 4-0 win over visiting Bowie. LF Jared Goedert drove in all four runs on a two-run home run in the second inning followed by a two-run single in the third. RHP Zach Putnam (2-0, 1.20 ERA) picked up his seocnd win of the season in shuting out the Baysox in six strong innings. 1B Russell Branyan went 1-for-4 with a run scored and a strikeout in his second major league rehab game with the Aeros.

High Class-A Kinston (3-7) - The K-Tribe lost 7-6 after host Winston-Salem rallied with a pair of runs the ninth inning via a two-run home run off RHP Steve Smith (0-1, 4.91 ERA). 2B Jason Kipnis, the Indians second selection in last year's draft, went 3-for-4 with two runs scored, a triple and two RBI.

Low Class-A Lake County (10-1) - With two outs in the ninth inning, DH Jeremie Tice singled home LF Bo Greenwell as the Lake County Captains defeated the visiting Fort Wayne TinCaps 7-6. LHP Francisco Jimenez (4-0, 1.54 ERA) earned his fourth win of the young season by holding the TinCaps to two runs on five hits over the final five innings of the contest.
