A look at how the Indians Minor League affiliates fared Thursday:
Triple-A Columbus (5-3) - Columbus' four-game winning streak and its first home stand of the season came to a close with a 6-3 loss to Toledo. Mudhens RHP Armando Galarraga (1-1), who has spent the previous three seasons in the big leagues, limited Columbus to three runs on five hits over 6 1/3 innings to earn the win. RF Chris Gimenez hit a two-run home run in the seventh inning, but a two-run deficit was a as close as the Clippers could get.
Double-A Aeros (5-3) - The Aeros lost their second consecutive game when their home opener was spoiled by visiting Bowie, as the division foe knocked around Akron pitching for nine runs on 16 hits. RHP Connor Graham (0-1) took the loss in absorbing five runs in 5 1/3 innings while RH and reliever Neil Wagner was responsible for giving up four runs in just 1/3 of an inning...The Aeros lone offense came via a two-out solo home run by Nick Weglarz, who now leads the squad with three homers and seven RBI.
High Class-A Kinston (3-4)- The K-Tribe had the day off. Friday, RHP Alex White (1-0) is slated to pitch as Kinston plays host Winston-Salem in a three-game weekend series. White is the Indians first-round pick (15th overall) in last year's draft.
Low Class-A Lake County (8-0) - LF Bo Greenwell (an Indians' sixth-round pick in the 2007 Draft) was the hero for the second consecutive game, collecting another three hits - including a home run and five RBI - in a 7-3 win over host Lansing. In just his second pro start, RHP Joe Gardner (1-0) picked up the win after allowing just one earned run and striking out seven in five innings.
