Tribe acquires lefty reliever from Cardinals

   CLEVELAND: The Indians have confirmed they acquired left-handed reliever Marc Rzepczynski from the Cardinals late this afternoon.

   The 27-year-old has had a fitful year, posting a 7.84 ERA in 11 appearances (10 1/3 innings). He was optioned to Triple-A Memphis this morning.

   At an earlier stint at Memphis, Rzepczynski compield a 1-2 record and 3.07 ERA in 32 games, pitching 44 innings.

   In exchange for Rzepczynski, Cleveland gave up second baseman Juan Herrera, 20, who was batting .275 with one homer and 11 RBI in 99 at-bats at short-season Mahoning Valley.
