Tribe grabs RHP Joseph Gardner in third round

In the third round (94th overall), the Indians went back to the draft's main depth in pitching and plucked right-hander Joseph Gardner. The 6-foot-4, 220-pounder is in his first season as a transfer at University of California-Santa Barbara, where he went 7-1 with a 3.40 ERA and 69 strikeouts for the Gauchos while leading the team in nearly every pitching category.
