Tribe nabs another prepster with 8th round pick

The Indians added to their pile of high school picks, selecting Texas high schooler and RHP Caleb Hamrick in the 8th round (263rd overall).

The 6-foot-2, 210-pound Hamrick was a four-year starter at Cedar Hill. He was tabbed an  All-District selection four times, including the District MVP in 2010.

Hamirck was 7-4 with a 1.95 ERA in 71 innings for the Longhorns thi spast season. As a junior, he was a Pre-Season Underclassman All-American as selected by Perfect Game. He signed to play baseball at Dallas Baptist University.
