Tribe rain delay will last until 3 p.m.

By Sheldon Ocker Published: September 15, 2013

CHICAGO: The Indians and White Sox continue to wait out light to moderate rain over U.S. Cellular Field.

Officials announced that the rain was expected to last at least another hour and that the situation would be reassesed at 3 p.m. (EDT).

Because this is the Tribe's final scheduled trip to Chicago, officials are determined to get the game in if possible.

The next best alternative would be to play the game as part of a doubleheader in Cleveland, when the Sox visit Sept. 24 and 25.
