Pregame Notes:

SCORING CHANGE – The originally ruled hit by Tigers slugger Miguel Cabrera in the third inning Monday was changed Tuesday to an error on right fielder Mike Aviles. The scoring change trims three runs from starter Corey Kluber’s pitching line. Now instead of the right-hander’s season-low 2 2/3 inning outing including five errand runs, it has been changed to two. With the adjustment, Kluber’s season ERA drops from 2.72 to 2.58. Also, Cabrera’s batting average dips to .302.

RABURN ACTIVATED - Indians activated outfielder Ryan Raburn from the 15-day disabled list Tuesday afternoon, in plenty of time to bat seventh and serve as the Tribe’s designated hitter in the evening’s game. Raburn had been sidelined with right wrist soreness.

MURPHY PLAYING - Indians sidelined right fielder David Murphy was on the field before Tuesday’s pregame work began, testing the injured right oblique that has had him sidelined since Aug. 10. Murphy pretended to swing a bat and then ran the bases a handful of times as trainers stood by and watched. Afterwards, Murphy said he felt good and manager Terry Francona said Murphy would start a rehab assignment at Triple-A Columbus.
