By Stephanie Storm Published: July 21, 2014

Indians fans might find their team’s outfield makeup a little unique tonight as the Tribe opens a three-game series against the host Twins at Target Field Monday. Here are tonight’s lineups and pre-game notes:

2B Jason Kipnis

SS Asdrubal Cabrera

DH Yan Gomes

1B Carlos Santana

LF Ryan Raburn

RF Nick Swisher

C Roberto Perez

3B Lonnie Chisenhall

CF Mike Aviles, CF

LHP T.J. House

CF Danny Santana

2B Brian Dozier

3B Trevor Plouffe

1B Kendrys Morales

LF Josh Willingham

C Kurt Suzuki

DH Chris Colabello

RF Chris Parmelee

SS Eduardo Escobar

LHP Kris Johnson

* With centerfielder Michael Bourn on the disabled list (hamstring) and All-Star Michael Brantley getting a day off the Indians outfield featured an odd composition with Ryan Raburn in left field, Mike Aviles in center and Nick Swisher in right field. Swisher’s outfield nod was his first this season, last playing there in mid September last year. Aviles’ start in the middle of the outfield marked just the second time in his career, manager Terry Francona having pencilied him in center in mid-May.

* As expected, the Indians recalled left-handed pitcher T.J. House from short-season Mahoning Valley Monday so that he could start the series opener. To make room on the roster, right-handed reliever Austin Adams was optioned to Triple-A Columbus.

* Second baseman Jason Kipnis was named the American League Player of the Week Monday. Kipnis batted .333 (5-for-15) with two home runs, six RBI, four walks and three runs scored in four games to capture his third career weekly honor.
