Walsh University student wins $100,000 at Big Ten title game

 Walsh University nursing student Molly Brown from Louisville in Stark County won $100,000 by beating one other national finalist in a halftime contest that featured throwing footballs through a hole in giant can of Dr. Pepper.

Brown gained entry into the contest by submitting a video showing how she intends to benefit others with her college education. She was selected as one of five contestants from the Big Ten region.

 

FAN BATTLE -- Ohio State supporters outnumbered Michigan State partisans by about a two to one at Lucas Oil Stadium.

THAT STATE DOWN SOUTH – Of the 79 players on the Spartans’ traveling roster, 23 are from Ohio and 34 from Michigan.

Among the Ohio group is starting quarterback Connor Cook, who graduated from Highland High School and lives in Hinckley.
