Triple-A Columbus (43-30) – The Clippers beat Rochester 11-2. Third baseman Jared Goedert continued is hot pace going 2 for 5 with four RBI and hit his sixth home run since being promoted to Columbus. In 16 games he is hitting .350 (21-60) with seven doubles. Brian Bixler had three hits and an RBI. Chord Phelps, Michael Brantley, Josh Rodriguez and Jose Constanza each had two hits. Josh Tomlin earned the win by pitching six innings and striking out six. He walked one and allowed one earned run.

Double-A Akron (35-36) – Jason Kipnis hit a two-run home run and drove in three as the Aeros beat Richmond 5-4. He has three home runs and seven RBI in 10 games with Akron. Jordan Henry and Damaso Espino each had two hits. Bryce Stowell earned the win in relief. In 19 innings at Akron, Stowell is yet to allow a run and has struck out 24.

High Class-A Kinston (36-34) – Off

Low Class-A Lake County (44-25) – Off

Class-A Short season Mahoning Valley (2-2) – The Scrappers lost to Auburn 8-3. Starting pitcher Mike Rayl pitched five innings and struck out four. He allowed six hits and two runs to take the loss. Former Kent State pitcher Kyle Smith relieved him and allowed five runs on two hits and six walks in 2.1 innings.
