Notes: -Right-handed reliever Austin Adams was promoted from Triple-A Columbus before today's game and could potentially make his major league debut tonight. After missing the 2012 season with a shoulder injury, Adams has rebounded well, posting a 2.29 ERA with 35 strikeouts and eight walks in 39 innings.

-T.J. House was optioned to Mahoning Valley to make room for Adams. He was sent to Mahoning Valley rather than Triple-A simply because that was the only place with an open spot in the rotation. He will make a start in Mahoning Valley on Wednesday and throw five innings. He will then rejoin the big league team on Monday to start at Minnesota.

-Justin Masterson threw a bullpen session for the first time yesterday while rehabbing from right knee inflammation. He threw only four-seam fastballs and "looked good," according to Indians manager Terry Francona.
