The village of Barnesville in Belmont County has signed a lease with Antero Resources to lease 1,047 acres of village-owned land.
Barnesville is getting $5,700 an acre plus a 20 percent royalty on any product produced.
The deal is expected to generate between $5.5 million and $6 million.
The village has 4,100 residents.
