On Tuesday, two locals of the Laborers' International Union of North America protested against work being done in Carroll County by out-of-state workers.
The protest was off state Routes 9 and 43 outside Carrollton.
It was organized by Local 809 out of Steubenville and Local 1015 out of Canton.
They were unhappy that work on a new Chesapeake Energy Corp. natural gas-collecting pipeline was being done by workers from Texas, not Ohio.
The work was being done by the STI Group from Buna, Texas.
The unions have been visiting local county commissioners in eastern Ohio to seek support for using union workers from Ohio on natural gas projects.
