The Consumer Energy Alliance will hold the 2012 Pennsylvania Energy and Manufacturing Summit on Sept. 10 in Pittsburgh.
The event will run from 8:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. at the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Circuit Center, 5 Hot Metal St.
The summit is similar to CEA programs in Colorado and on the Gulf Coast.
The booming Marcellus shale in Pennsylvania is triggering the need to revisit energy development and its impacts on manufacturing, organizers say.
Both major presidential campaigns have been invited to participate.
The alliance is based in Houston, Texas.
