U.S. Silica Holdings Inc. announced today that East Liverpool in Ohio's Columbiana County will be the site of a new silica shipping facility.
The company intends to ship fracking sand from its plants via barge and rail to East Liverpool for shipment to drillers in the Utica and Marcellus shales in Ohio, West Virginia and Pennsylvania.
The company has signed an agreement with S.H. Bell Co. to open the silica sand storage facility.
