Texas-based EV Energy Partners is still working to sell off a portion of its Utica shale holdings in eastern Ohio.
The company had announced previously that plan.
It has 747,000 acres in Ohio and another 156,000 acres in western Pennsylvania.
It also announced that a new de-ethanizer will be operating soon at the Utica East Ohio processing plant at Kensington in southern Columbiana County.
It is a financial partner in that operation.
The plant's second train or unit for processing gas began operations as planned in November and came online in December, the company said.
It was designed for 200 million cubic feet of gas per day.
Units 3 and 4 are scheduled to come online in the second and third quarters 2014, respectively.
But Units 1 and 2 at Kensington together are handling 20 percent more than designed capacity.
That would mean that five trains or units, not six, might be built at Kensington to handle 1.2 billion to 1.3 billion cubic feet of natural gas per day, officials said.
EV Energy Partners has a 21 percent inter3est in Utica East Ohio and a 9 percent interest in Cardinal Gas Services.
