A few items leftover from Tuesday's earnings call from EV Energy Partners:
1. Blue Racer Midstream's natural gas-processing plant in Natrium, W. Va., will apparently be closed into next year, after a Sept. 21 explosion and fire.
Blue Racer Midstream has said little since the plant was shut down.
Its closure is having a big impact on drillers in the Utica shale in eastern Ohio.
2. Utica East Ohio Buckeye has been having issues with high BTU counts from the gas coming from its Kensington gas-processing plant in southern Columbiana County.
The Tennessee Pipeline has taken Kensington-processed gas but has limited the quantities it will take many days because the gas contains ethane and that raises the BTU content.
The pipeline company must then mix the high BTU gas with lower BTU gas to meet pipeline limits.
The changes in daily volume acceptable for the pipeline has hurt early operations, officials said.
That may continue to be a problem until December or early January, officials said.
That's when a deethanizer will be added to the Kensington plant.
That is also when the ATEX pipeline to carry ethane from Ohio to the Gulf Coast is expected to begin operations.
3. Chesapeake Energy is averaging 6.6 million cubic feet of natural gas per day in 60 wells in he Carroll County area.
4. Cardinal Pipeline Co. LLC is handling natural gas from 256 wells in eastern Ohio and had built 183 miles of pipelines.
The company is handling 295 million million cubic feet per day of natural gas.
