From the Mansfield News Journal:
Preferred Fluids Management LLC has dismissed its federal lawsuit against the City of Mansfield.
The company had sought a ruling from U.S. District Court saying that the city has no authority to regulate the two injection wells it hoped to build on the city’s north side.
On Thursday, U.S. District Court Judge James S. Gwin approved a request by the Texas-based company to withdraw its case without prejudice.
But Law Director John Spon said dismissal won’t cause city officials to back off from their support for a charter amendment placed the Nov. 6 ballot to create a controversial environmental bill of rights for city residents.
