The Marietta Times this week reported that a processing plant for natural gas in southeast Ohio is being moved.
Denver-based MarkWest Energy said the plant will be built in Noble County, not Monroe Count.
Company officials did not explain why the plant was being shifted to the west.
Gov. John Kasich in February had announced that MarkWest planned to construct gas-processing plants in Harrison and Monroe counties, plus a fractionation, storage and marketing facility in Harrison County.
The facilities are part of a joint venture with the Energy & Minerals Group.
