Global Frackdown 2 in coming to Ohio today.
Two groups, the Buckeye Forest Council and Food & Water Watch, will assemble in Colunbus for a special delivery letter to Gov. John Kasich.
It is one of eight events in Ohio and one of 200 around the globe in which activists will call on local officials to ban oil and gas waste dumping.
The second annual Global Frackdown is calling for a ban on hydraulic fracturing or fracking.
Also involved in the Columbus protest are FRAC Action Columbus and 30 local, state and national groups.
The event will run from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Riffe Center, 77 S. High St.
