The Youngstown-based Business Journal reported today that a $300 million pipeline project from Columbiana County to northwest Pennsylvania includes a new gas-processing facility near Youngstown.
The plant could be located in eastern Mahoning County.
Involved in the large-diameter pipeline that could run 50 miles and the new plant are NiSource Midstream Services LLC and Hilcorp Energy.
The plant would have a daily capacity of 200 million cubic feet of natural gas.
The news came from a prseentation on Thursday at the Youngstown Ohio Utica and Natural Gas Conference and Expo at the Covelli Centre.
