Ohio Black Gold conference slated in Columbus
Black Gold Ohio, a conference focused on shale gas development in Ohio's Utica shale, will be held Sept. 12-13 in Columbus.
It will be held at the Westin Columbus Hotel.
The event is being presented by Infocast.
It will look at midstream and manufacturing opprtunities as Ohio's Utica shale begins to take off.
It's predicated that by 2015 the Utica shale boom will have created 200,000 jobs in Ohio and increased Ohio's economic output by $22 billion,
Scheduled speakers include the Ohio Oil & Gas Assocaition executive vice president Tom Stewart, Chesapeake Energy Corp.'s Scott Rotruck and Todd Snithler, chairman of the Public Utilities Commissuion of Ohio.
