Ohio Liberty groups supporting 'FrackNation' film

By Bob Downing Published: January 23, 2013

A press release received today:

Columbus, Ohio - The Ohio Liberty Coalition announce this morning that over 50 Liberty Groups in Ohio are planning to provide public showings of the new independent documentary film “FrackNation” which premiered on the ASX national cable channel last night. The movie takes apart the anti-fracking movie “Gasland” and debunks virtually all claims by the environmental left about the dangers of hydrolic-fracturing. Even the New York Times review of the movie said the movie was "Methodically researched" and ““FrackNation” is no tossed-off, pro-business pamphlet.” The movie was independently funded using a new social media called “crowdfunding” in which over 3,000 individuals donated over $220,000 online to pay for its production.
In making the announcement, Tom Zawistowski, President of the Ohio Liberty Coalition, said “This is a very important film for the citizens of Ohio to see. Fracking has been under consistent attack in our state by well funded groups on the left who use misinformation and gross exaggerations to provoke fear among our citizens about an energy resource that is in fact incredibly safe. FrackNation sets the record straight in an entertaining and provocative way that will bring truth and comfort to anyone who is concerned about this practice in Ohio.”
Zawistowski went on to explain, “Since the ASX cable channel was not available on Time Warner cable in Ohio, large numbers of Ohioan had no chance to see the premier last night. Liberty Groups in 41 counties are going to make arrangements for public showings so that more people will have that opportunity. We will announce show dates, times and locations as the details are finalized.”
