Dr. Douglas Southgate of Ohio State University's Subsurface Energy Resource Center is the keynote speaker on Sept. 19 when the Akron and Cleveland chapters of the American Chemical Society meet.
The program will begin with cocktails at 5:30 p.m, dinner at 6:30 p.m. and the talk at 7 p.m. at the Yellow Tail restuarant, 4054 Medina Road, Montrose.
His talk is entitled: "Hydraulic Fracturing: Contexts and Consequences."
The program is free and open to the public. Dinner is $25 for professionals-guests and $8 for students.
