Pittsburgh radio station to host Marcellus shale festival

            PITTSBURGH – CBS RADIO Pittsburgh will host The Marcellus Shale Festival on Thursday, August 15thbetween 2-10pm at Stage AE, 400 North Shore Drive, Pittsburgh. 


            The Festival will be held indoors and out, and is designed to celebrate all that Marcellus Shale brings to our region.  Attendees can expect informational exhibits, breakout sessions, a KDKA Town Hall Meeting, The Pittsburgh Premiere of the movie FrackNation and a meet and greet with FrackNation journalist Phelim McAleer and co-producer Ann McElhinney. The day will be capped off with a show from national recording artist Phil Vassar.


NewsRadio 1020 KDKA personality Mike Pintek will host a Town Hall Meeting at 3:00pm on “Marcellus Shale - A True Public-Private Partnership: Maximizing the Resource”, that will include a stellar lineup of panel guests:  Allegheny County Executive Rich Fitzgerald, PA State Representative Jim Christiana, PA State Senator Tim Solobay, United States Congressman Tim Murphy and Matt Pitzarella, Director of Corporate Communications and Public Affairs at Range Resources.


The entire festival will be free to the public with a $5 donation to the Mel Blount Foundation recommended at the door.
