Portage County rally against injection wells on Sept. 12
Concerned Citizens Ohio is hosting a rally against drilling wastes and injection wells on Wedneday, Sept. 12, in Ravenna. The event will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the First Congregational Church, 266 S. Chestnut St. Also involved are the Frackfree America National Coalition and the Network for Oil and Gas Accountability & Protection. The event is billed as Portage County’s "Freedom from Toxic Waste" rally. Of 29 new injection wells filed with the state, nine are in Portage County. The county already has 16 injection wells.
