Portage County's Randolph Township will host a public meeting on Jan. 25 to look at hydraulic fracturing or fracking in natural gas drilling.
The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. in the township community center, 1639 State Route 44.
The program includes a presentation by Chesapeake Energy Corp, the most-active company in drilling to Ohio's Utica shale, plus anti-fracking speakers.
A number oflocal, county and state elected officials are also expected to attend the program.
Chesapeake Energy Corp,the Oklahoma-based firm is the No. 1 driller in Ohio.
