Earluier this month, Texas-based Range Resources announced in a Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filing that it has reached a memorandum of understanding with plaintiffs in a 2010 class action lawsuit out of Oklahoma, Star-Telegram reports..
The plaintiffs in James A. Drummond and Chris Parrish v. Range Resources-Midcontinent LLC, et al, Case No. CJ-2010-510, originally sought "$160 million in alleged royalty underpayments on sales of natural gas."
The filings indicate that the final settlement will be $87.5 million.
