Reuters reported today that Chesapake Energy Corp. and the largest natural gas producer in Canada worked together to keep lease costs down in Michigan in 2010.
According to a June 2010 email, Chesapeake and its CEO, Aubrey McClendon, wanted to work with Encana Corp. to minimize land acquistion costs in Michigan, Reuters said.
