Pennsylvania-based Rex Energy said on Tuesday that it has completed its first Utica well in Ohio.
The well in Carroll County will likely go into production in September.
The company said it would disclose production data from that well during its third quarter earnings conference call.
The well in Washington Township is 12,332 feet deep and has a lateral of 4,170 feet.
The company is developing other wells in Guernsey, Noble and Belmont counties.
