Sales-tax receipts were up 20 percent in 2012 in 15 east-central Ohio counties where Utica shale drilling is occurring, but employment in that area was up only 0.6 percent in 2012.
Those were two findings in a new report by Cleveland State University.
It shows that Utica shale has not been the job bonanza in Ohio that many had hoped, the Columbus Dispatch reported today.
