Stark Library kicks off three-part program on drilling

The Stark County District Library is holding a three-part program on drilling for natural gas and oil in Northeast Ohio.

The program, entitled "A Layman’s Guide to Oil and Gas Exploration," will be held Oct. 2, 9 and 30.

The programs will be held at the Lake Community Branch, 11955 Market Ave. N., on the Lake Local Schools campus in Lake Township in northern Stark County.

The Oct. 2 speaker at 6:30 p.m. will be attorney Michael Gruber from Stark County Association of Realtors.

Trent Dougherty, director of legal affairs for the Ohio Environmental Council, will discuss the environmental aspects of oil and gas exploration at 6 p.m. Oct. 9.

Rhonda Reda, executive director of the Ohio Oil and Gas Energy Education Program and the Ohio Oil and Gas Foundation, will speak at 6 p.m. Oct. 30.
