A Fort Worth-based oil and gas company has purchased an Ohio well-services company to expand its operations in the Marcellus shale.
FTS International, formerly known as Frac Tech, has purchased Phoenix Well Services LLC, described as a perforating and completion company based in Burbank on the Medina-Wayne county line.
Terms of the sale were not disclosed.
FTS International purchased the Ohio firm from a company controlled by Palm Ventures LLC, a Connecticut-based investment firm.
