A third man has been charged with illegal dumping of drilling wastes to the Mahoning River in Youngstown.
Mark Goff, 46, of Newton Falls, an employee of Hardrock Excavating, faces one federal charge of violating the Clean Water Act. the Business Journal Daily reported recently.
The violations started in 2012, federal officials said.
Company owner Mark Lupo has entered a plea of guilty tied to the dumping of wastes to a storm sewer that drained to the Mahoning River and will be sentenced in June.
Employee Michael Guesman, 35, of Cortland, was placed on three years probation and ordered to complete 300 hours of community service.
