The United States will spend trillions of dollars over the next 20 years to develop gas and oil resources, according to a study by the consulting firm Deloitte.
It says 630,000 new wells will be needed including 90,000 in the Marcellus shale in Pennsylvania and 21,000 in the Eagle Ford in Texas.
A total of 410,700 new wells are envisoned in shale develiopment.
