Utica drilling permits in Ohio hit 176
This week's listings for Utica drilling permits in eastern Ohio hit 176, of which 53 wells have been drilled, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources' Division of Oil and Gas Resources Management.
Carroll County is still No. 1 with 60 permits.
No. 2 is Columbiana County with 26 permits. Jefferson County is third with 20 permits.
Harrison and Mahoning counties both have nine permits, Monroe has eight and Guernsey has six.
Locally, Stark County has 10 permits, Portage County has six and Medina County has one.
