Walsh University to host May 23 energy meeting
U.S. Rep. Jim Renacci, R-Wadsworth, is holding a public meeting on natural gas drilling in Ohio and other energy developments on Wednesday.
The program will run from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Walsh University’s Barrette Center, 2020 E. Maple St,., North Canton.
Speakers include Rhonda Reda of the Ohio Oil & gas Energy Education Program, Dr. Robert Chase, chair and professor, Department of Petroleum Engineering and Geology at Marietta College, Dale Arnold of the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation; and Jim McKinney of EnerVest Operating LLC, one of the companies drilling in eastern Ohio’s Utica shale.
Said Renacci, "This forum will bring together a diverse group of experts to speak with the Canton community about what is occurring here in Northeast Ohio on the energy front."
