The U.S. Forest Service is again looking at leasing the Wayne National Forest in southern Ohio for natural gas drilling.
That possibility has resulted in more than 500 people signing petitions against such drilling, the Marietta Times reports.
The forest service had proposed a possible lease last year and then halted any possible leases last fall.
The agency is expected to complete a new review by mid-June before deciding whether to proceed.
