Governor's new early-ed task force leaves out educators

By John Published: October 14, 2011

This just in from Gov. John Kasich:

Today Gov. John R. Kasich signed an Executive Order establishing the Early Education and Development Innovation Committee to advise the governor on methods to improve statewide kindergarten readiness. The Committee will consist of five members appointed by the governor, two from the business community, one from the philanthropic community, one from the research community and one from the children's health care community.

Let's see, we've got two slots for business, one for philanthropy, one for research and one for health care. Who's missing?

Read the executive order here.

They might want to look at funding.
